Reformer Pilates

We are excited to introduce Reformer Pilates at Yoga Love. Pilates is a powerful practice that builds strength, stability, and body awareness by developing muscle memory and full-body engagement. When you learn how to properly activate your muscles, movement becomes more efficient, balanced, and supported.

Why Reformer Pilates at Yoga Love?

At Yoga Love, we believe movement practices work best when they support and enhance one another. Reformer Pilates is the perfect complement to a yoga practice because it builds strength, control, and body awareness. When you understand which muscles to engage and how to support your body, your yoga practice often feels stronger, more stable, and more connected. Together, these practices create a balanced foundation that supports both strength and mobility.

What is the Reformer?

The Reformer is a specialized Pilates apparatus designed with springs, straps, and a moving carriage that provides both support and resistance. This allows you to strengthen and lengthen muscles at the same time while improving balance, coordination, and control.

Because the springs can be adjusted, the Reformer can support beginners while also providing a challenging workout for experienced students. It helps guide proper alignment and allows for a wide range of exercises that target the entire body.

Is Reformer Pilates Good for Beginners?

Yes! Reformer Pilates is accessible to people of all levels. The equipment provides support while also helping you develop strength and awareness in your body. Our instructors will guide you through each movement and offer modifications so you can move safely and confidently.

Whether you are new to Pilates or looking to deepen your movement practice, Reformer Pilates is a great way to build strength, stability, and connection to your body.

What to Bring

Please bring grip socks (socks with sticky bottoms) for your Reformer class. For hygiene and safety, grip socks are required for all Reformer Pilates classes to provide traction on the equipment, help you stay stable during movement, and maintain a clean studio environment. If you don’t have a pair, grip socks are available for purchase at the studio.

We also recommend wearing comfortable clothing that allows you to move freely. Slightly more form-fitting clothing is helpful so instructors can better see alignment and guide your movement safely and effectively.
