Shannon McGee

Yoga Instructor/owner

Shannon has been practicing yoga for over 25 years and teaching for the past 13. She integrates essential oils into her classic Vinyasa Flow classes. She was first drawn to yoga for the excellent "workout" but soon discovered the spiritual benefits surpassed the physical practice. Whether you are a serious athlete, or just want a serious challenge, she will help you find the focus, clarity and strength to reach your full potential.  Her class encourages students to find their own moving meditation by connecting breath with movement. Fun, high energy, upbeat music helps to cultivate a relaxed environment. Students will experience an accessible class that will help them tap into the physical, emotional and spiritual strength waiting inside them. Shannon’s work has appeared in various publications including winning  “Yoga Journal” magazine’s nationwide Talent Search which featured her specialty, arm balances.

Nancy Puleo

Yoga Instructor/owner

Nancy has been teaching yoga for almost a decade. She is a RYT 500 hour certified instructor. Nancy became intrigued by the physical alignment of the body through her classical training as an actress and a dancer. Through injury, she discovered Pilates and for over 15 years explored its benefits of core strength and body alignment. Her first experience with yoga was purely for exercise and physical strength. She soon discovered she couldn't maintain strength without connecting breath, the necessary tool to fuel the body and clear the mind. Her classes incorporate this philosophy by teaching a powerful flow that unlocks hidden inner strengths and  fortitude to change and heal the body, mind, and life. Students will begin to optimize their physical fitness, while bringing serenity to their minds and nourishing their spirits.

Ani Laura Pidedjian

Yoga Instructor

Ani first discovered the transformative power of yoga thirty years back as a college student at UCLA. After graduating and moving to Manhattan to work as a reporter, Ani began to more seriously practice and better appreciate the many dimensions physical yoga offers. Drawn in particular to the power of joining the breath, movement and attention, she traveled to Mysore, India, to study Ashtanga Vinyasa in 1999.
After experiencing yoga for more than a decade, she formally fulfilled the requirements of New York Yoga's training program under Michael Gilbert, Govinda Kai and David Hollander, making teaching official in 2004 at New York Yoga and Karma Yoga. Soon after she completed the YogaWorks Teacher Intensive and started leading classes at YogaWorks in NYC at the Westside and Eastside yoga studios, as well as, completing the Baby Om Teacher Training program.
Refining her knowledge of the vast practice of hatha yoga, its development and origins, she uses some of these practices to help students tap into their own physical and mental potential. Her relaxed and accessible teaching style while drawing from the lineages of Krishnamacharya also integrates a creative and analytical sensibility that centers on the whole person, beyond one particular pose or modality, alignment ideal, appearance or dogma.
She is inspired by her husband and two sons, and dedicated students during the world altering pandemic. Ani looks forward to returning to teaching at an actual yoga studio and is thrilled to be a part of Yoga Love. Ani is currently studying functional anatomy to increase her knowledge of better movement and as always to continue the exploration of the complicated and sensitive mystery of being a human.
